What are the three structures?
There are three forms of structures; team structures, network structures and boundary less organizations. Team structure is when a company uses the permanent or temporary cross functional team to improve its lateral reaction. Network structure is when a company uses informational technologies to connect within networks apart from the contractors and supplies. Lastly boundary less organization removes the internal boundaries that are between subsystems and the outside boundaries with the external environment.
How each structure works?
Team Structure
The entire members that are part of the team structure often is seen to be working on a common goal. Cross functional team are made of different people who specialize in different work area and they bring their own unique skill to complete the task. All the member of this team must work together in order to achieve the group and always be in good relations. Although all the team members are seen to be working together on a task each individual who is part of the team is working on a different task. At the end of each work session all the members come together to create a final product that everyone is satisfied with. Teams are often given a specific task to complete in a given time period and each member works together in order to reach the requirements that are given. Senior managers are in charge of taking care of lower managers and enduring that all the work is being done and there are no complications and lower managers are in charge of supervising the team and guiding them when they are in a difficult position. Teams are seen equal to each other.
Network Structure
Network structure is seen to be more flexible compared to all the other structures. In this structure senior manager have huge responsibilities as they are in charge of the controlling and co-ordinating relations that are part of the external or internal aspect of the company. Social networking has a huge impact within this structure because it has to very interactive in order to create a strong network structure. There are three levels in the network structure which is the organizational, management and industrial. All three levels work together to form a strong network structure,
Boundaryless Structures
Boundary less organization eliminates many of the internal boundaries among subsystems and external boundaries with the external environment. Various organizational structures plan their vertical and horizontal boarders, along with clear orders. When a boundary less organization is formed the management sector of the company is able to take action upon certain situations on the horizontal spectrum. Having a boundary less structure would often result in having a horizontal management structure.
